The Build-Part5-Roofing,Batteries and Cabinets

September 2009. By now it had been almost a year since we signed the contract. Many of the major parts had not been ordered. We tried begging , threatening ,reasoning with Ken to get him to spend more time working on the motorhome. We had discussed our problems with the state attorney general's office and thought that we had a good case for removing the motorhome from Ken's shop. But even after all of the problems that we had with him we did not want to start this process which could cause him  harm. We finally laid out exactly what he was facing if he kept ignoring the motorhome and pushing us into drastic action. We also realized that he had`spent all of our down payment money and that the necessary supplies could not be ordered. We decided that the best course of action would be for us to order and pay for the parts and deduct the amount from the final bill. We may have finally gotten through to him. Work started speeding up.
Pile of bills - windows , cabinet doors , refrigerator,
furnace, hot water heater , spare tire cover, inverter, auxiliary heater , day/night shades, mini blinds,     hardware and various miscellaneous items.

Sliding house battery tray. This is one of the major improvements. The Scotty had very small hard to access battery compartments.

With the black and gray tanks installed it was time to glue down the siding and install the windows.

We decided to use rubber for the roof because we hadn't had any problems with the rubber roof on our Scotty.

October 2009. We were excited that the outside of the motorhome was almost complete and thought that the finish work on the inside would be completed quickly. However this is not what happened.
The cabinets were fitted back in and Ken and Kevin began finishing the heating and plumbing systems.

With the cabinets in and the doors installed , the motorhome was starting to look pretty good.

Unfortunately  most of the plumbing and the gas lines had not been run to the fixtures and the fixtures were only set in place.

We were getting pretty frustrated with the delays and so we were very happy when Ken called us and told us that the motorhome would be finished enough for a final inspection on October 23rd. However when we went to the shop on the 23rd , we saw that little had been done for weeks. We decided that we had no recourse but to follow through with our plan to contact the attorney general's office and a few days after that we consulted with our own attorney.
